Diane von Furstenberg has sent out an apology letter to the entire Council of Fashion Designers of America after finding out that one of the models who walked in her New York Fashion Week show was just 15. As the president of the CFDA she advocated making the age limit for modeling 16 years old. In the apology, Diane said, “I was horrified and terribly embarrassed. From now on I will instruct my casting people to demand IDs. I encourage you to do the same. I am trying to be a good leader and set an example…so please please accept my apology.” (WWD)
Kate Middleton has hired Philip Treacy to design hats for the wedding party on the big day. Unfortunately the royal wedding is such a secret, that no news has come out on just what type of hats he is designing. Reports say Kate will be wearing a veil, but may want a hat for herself for the reception. Now we are waiting to find out who is designing the dress. (Daily Mail)
Dolce & Gabbana worked with pop sensation Kylie Minogue again on the costumes for her upcoming world tour. The tour kicked off on February 19th in Denmark and will see Kylie tour extensively. The corset will be the star of her Dolce & Gabbana wardrobe with many old classic reworked for the theme of the shows. (People)
