FASHION NEWS: Steve Madden, Badgley Mischka & Roberto Cavalli
Here are some of the fashion news headlines of the week:
Actress Zooey Deschanel (from the holiday fave Elf) is suing Steve Madden claiming she wasn’t paid the $1.5 million agreed upon to endorse the footwear line. The lawsuit says the original contract to use Zooey’s name and picture in the ads was for $2 million, then it was lowered to $1.5 and then supposedly breached without explaination. No one has commented on the lawsuit yet. (E! Online)
Rumer Willis is the new face for Badgley Mischka. The budding star and daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis has already shot photos for the Spring 2011 campaign. Rumer will be seen in the formal wear ads, as well as the Mark & James contemporary line as well. (Stylelist)
Designer Roberto Cavalli is opening more clubs and cafe’s bearing his name. Five Cavalli clubs and 15 Cavalli cafes will be opening in South America, the Middle East and Asia over the next few years. Within two years, they hope to be open in five cities. There are already Cavalli clubs in Florence, Dubai and Milan. (WWD)
