Lady Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti has been named the creative director of Thierry Mugler. In his new role at Thierry Mugler he will oversee both the men’s and women’s wear lines. His first collection will be the fall/winter 2011 line. Nicola Formichetti doesn’t only put together Lady Gaga’s wild outfits, he is also the editor of Vogue Homme Japan and a fashion writer for a number of other magazines.We are sure he will leave the meat bikinis and hair hats with Lady Gaga while he is working on it. Fashion designer Stella McCartney is creating her first children’s clothing line. Stella has designed a few lines in collaboration with Gap Kids, but she is now going out on her own. The first Stella McCartney children’s wear line will launch in stores and online in November, the same month she is due to have her fourth child. Clothes will target children from zero to 12 years old and prices are said to be between $25 and $194. (WWD)
Reem Acra is teaming with the Home Shopping Network for a fall capsule collection. The celeb favourite designer will appear on HSN to debut the new line on September 22 and 23 as a part of their fall fashion series. Prices will range from $39 to $299. The line is said to feature day wear items such as blazers, tunics and dresses. (Stylelist)
