What The Editor Wore – Day At The Beach

Our world traveling editor has just returned from a whirlwind trip to Europe. Here is what the editor wore at the beach.

Europe is hot in the summer and in more ways than one. Bikini is the way of life and rules the beaches on women of all ages and sizes. The ones who keep their tops on of course. I chose my beach day ensemble based on fun, tropical colours and practicality. Nothing could be too fussy or precious to get messy and sandy.

The breezy, light blue, sequin top is a perennial travel favorite. It merits enthusiastic compliments with each new appearance. The fact that I bought for $20.00 at an outdoor market in the Cayman Islands makes it that much better. Paired with simple tailored white shorts and a light coloured, wide brimmed straw hat, the look says: sun, sand, ocean!

I love this mix and match bikini. The embroidered top can and is paired with the pink bikini bottom in the photo. It is also easily matched with bikini bottoms in turquoise and white. The versatility allows for a few different looks. The beach bag, compliments of The Beverly Hills hotel was packed with sun essentials: sunscreen, sunglasses, hair clip, bottled water and some reading material!
