CANADA STYLE: Designers Announced For 2010 White Cashmere Collection
Creating gorgeous gowns out of toilet paper may have at one time seemed like a crazy idea, but now the White Cashmere Collection is an annual event that many Canadian designers are honoured to be a part of.
The first set of Canadian fashion designers who will be creating gowns out of toilet paper are: Montreal designers Renata Morales and Aqua Di Lara, Toronto’s Lilliput Hats, Reva Mivasagar, and Zoran Dobric and Halifax’s Katrina Tuttle are among the first group of designers announced for the show. The show altogether will feature 15 Canadian fashion designers’ cashmere toilet paper designs.
Over the years, top Canadian fashion designers Greta Constantine, Evan Biddell, David Dixon, Marie Saint Pierre and Joeffer Caoc have all been a part of the White Cashmere Collection shows. We can’t wait to see what these creative minds will come up with for 2010.
The 7th annual White Cashmere Collection 2010 will be presented on the runway in Toronto on September 22nd. The theme of this year’s show is Fashion With Compassion.
