Stephen King’s The Stand Mini-Series Gets Remastered For BluRay

One of the most anticipated shows that will hit CBS All-Access next year is the new adaptation of Stephen King’s post-apocalyptic novel The Stand. Back in 1994 though, over the course of four nights a mini-series was aired that got a lot of great reviews. Until now however the series hasn’t been available on Blu-Ray, but we are sure glad they decided to go back to it and remaster it for today’s TV’s.

Pet Sematary Remake A Must-Own For Stephen King Fans

Pet Sematary was first released in 1983, and instantly became a huge hit for author Stephen King. Of course that wasn’t a huge surprise, considering at that time everything the best selling author wrote became a huge hit. Most of his novels eventually were turned into movies back then as well, and in 1989 the theatrical adaptation followed. The movie grossed over $57 million at the box office, which at the time was considered a pretty decent take. 30 years later the film has gotten a remake, and it did just about as well as the original.

The latest film to be based on the work of Stephen King is perhaps the most ambitious of them all. The Dark Tower is a multi-novel series that spans several worlds, and really can be a little difficult to explain to the casual reader. Good Scary Movies From The Last Ten Years
