Movies Opening May 26th, 2011

With it being Memorial Day weekend, movies are opening a day earlier this week. Granted if you are in Canada it seems a little strange for new movies to arrive on a Thursday, but it just means you can catch the new releases with less people on opening night. This week brings two more sequels with it, this time one for a popular comedy about a group of men who have to piece together events of the previous night after partying a bit too hard, and an animated movie about a fighting panda bear. If you are lucky enough to live in one of the few cities it opens in, you can also catch the Cannes Palme d’or winning picture.

Movies Opening January 14th, 2011

Hollywood is continuing to have a slow start to the 2011 movie season with only two new wide releases. There is a limited release worth noting as well, because it is only limited in the U.S., but opening to a wider audience in Canada. What it breaks down to is a new superhero movie, a Vince Vaughn comedy, and a drama about an author reflecting on his life.
