Kanye West’s new album, Jesus Is King, was supposed to drop this past weekend, and when it didn’t fans have been wondering why that was. Jojo Rabbit Wins TIFF 2019’s People’s Choice Award

TIFF 2019’s People’s Choice award winner was difficult to call. On one hand several of the top films, including Joker, were dark and audience reactions were mixed at best. Then there were fan favourites like A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which while good, seemed a little bit too conventional. In the end of though, it was director Taika Waititi’s dark Nazi Germany-set “anti-hate satire,” Jojo Rabbit that brought home the award, and will probably be one of the most talked about films from now until awards season.
