Disney Streaming Service Set To Launch This Fall

Disney announced yesterday that they will launch their streaming service, Disney Plus, on November 12, starting with the U.S., Canada and the Netherlands, with Australia and New Zealand coming a week later. The Disney Plus app will be available on Apple, Google, Microsoft, Roku and Sony, with more distributors set for the near future. Disney also announced that the service will be available in all major markets within the first two years, but didn’t give any specifics on when it can be expected elsewhere.

NYPD Blue Reboot Could Still Happen

Earlier this year it was a pretty big surprise when it was announced that ABC’s NYPD Blue reboot wasn’t going to happen. The original show ran for 12 seasons from 1993 – 2005, and was consistently one of the network’s biggest hits. With so many other shows getting reboots and revivals, it was pretty much a given that the reboot would move forward once it was announced. It didn’t happen though, and while it was originally thought it could re-appear on the midseason schedule, that didn’t end up happening either, and eventually the cast was released from their contracts.

Netflix Announces Premiere Date For 13 Reasons Why Season 3

The third season’s plot of 13 Reasons Why has mostly been kept under wraps since the project was announced last year. All that had been known is that Hannah Baker’s (Katherine Langford) story had come to an end, and that the new season would follow a whole new story line. When the season would be released however was also kept secret. That is, until now. Netflix announced that the upcoming season would be released on August 23rd. They also announced that the series had been renewed for a fourth and final season.
