Marisol Nichols And Skeet Ulrich Set To Depart Riverdale

Former Real Style Magazine cover girl Marisol Nichols and her Riverdale co-star Skeet Ulrich both announced yesterday that they will be departing The CW teen drama after the fourth season wraps up in April. At this point it’s unknown when and how they will be written off the show.

Nichols and Ulrich both play parental figures in the hit series, and have appeared since the show went on the air in 2017. Nichols plays Hermione Lodge, mother of Veronica Lodge, while Ulrich plays F.P. Jones, Jughead’s father. In a released statement Nichols said “I had an incredible time bringing Hermione Lodge to life and working with my amazing cast, who became family. We had so many wonderful times together during the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We really do have the best fans ever. I am looking forward to the next chapter and am excited about the future.”

In the same statement Ulrich commented “I’m incredibly grateful for the friendships I’ve made on Riverdale, and I will miss seeing everyone on a daily basis. I’m proud to have been part of such a talented group of people, in front of the camera and behind. But I’ve decided that it’s time for me to move on to explore other creative opportunities.” Ulrich took to social media as well to comment on his departure, stating “I can’t even begin to thank you all for the unwavering support and love!! It is remarkable and deeply appreciated. I may be leaving Riverdale but my experience over the last four years will never leave my heart.”

Riverdale was renewed last month for a fifth season. Nichols can be seen next in the Saw spin-off Spiral with Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Rock, while Ulrich is moving on the sci-fi film BIOS with Tom Hanks.
