Julianne Moore To Star In Stephen King’s Lisey’s Story
Stephen King’s resurgence continues, with another of his novels getting ready to be adapted for the screen. In this case it’s his 2006 novel Lisey’s Story that is being adapted for Apple TV, with Oscar winner Julianne Moore set to star.
King himself wrote every episode in the eight-hour limited series. The story follows Lisey (Moore) who starts remembering things she had repressed and forgotten about her husband’s life, two years after his death, and his ability to transport himself to another world when he needed a break. King had expressed interest in developing the novel as a limited series in 2017, and now his desire is finally about to become reality.
King and Moore will both executive produce the series, with J.J. Abram’s Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television releasing it.
King’s latest film is Pet Semetary, a remake of the 1989 film, based on the 1983 novel of the same name. Moore has been nominated for 5 Oscars, and won for 2014’s Still Alice. She has four films set to be released later this year, the biggest of which is the Gloria Steinem biopic The Glorias: A Life on the Road.
There is no time frame for when the series will be made or released at this time.
