Could Beverly Hills, 90210 Be Returning To TV With The Original Cast?

Revivals are the hottest thing in TV these days. Murphy Brown, Rosanne (Ok, The Conners as it is now known) and Will & Grace are all holding their own and doing rather well, with several others waiting in the wings (Mad About You is apparently coming soon). Now it appears as if the hit 1990s teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 may be next.

There have been rumours about 90210 making a comeback ever since March of this year, when Tori Spelling let it slip that CBS TV Studios might be working on something when she posted something on Instagram stating she had partnered with Jennie Garth on a 90210-related project. What that project was though wasn’t said. People were saying the duo would be playing “exaggerated versions of themselves” in the new show, whatever that meant. Now however a new series is being shopped around. Original series cast members Garth and Spelling, would be joined by Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Carteris. The show is being pitched to broadcast and streaming networks, and there is a lot of interest.

Beverly Hills, 90210 ran for 10 seasons on Fox, between 1990-2000, and made names for most of the cast. The series has had multiple spin-offs including Melrose Place, and even a reboot that aired for five season from 2008-2013.
