Tom Holland Gives Yet Another Spoiler

Pretty soon movie studios are going to have to stop giving actor Tom Holland any information at all, as the 22 year old actor seemingly has spoiled yet another piece of vital information when it comes to his Marvel Cinematic Universe alter-ego Spider-Man. Holland of course played Spider-Man in the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming, as well as the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War.

In a video post made to Instagram over the weekend during an appearance at Ace Comic Con in Seattle, Holland said “I wanted to apologize because there’s no real revelations coming out this weekend about Spider-Man 2. I don’t know much about it. I’m a little confused because I died, so I don’t really know how it will come into play, but what I do know is I got the new script, I’m super excited to read it, and it’s going to be great. Spider-Man 2, let’s do this.”

If he stopped there, Holland would have really given away nothing other than the fact that his character was one of the heroes who vanished at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. But he didn’t. He proceeded them to hold up the front page of the script to the camera, revealing that the title, at least the working title, is Spider-Man: Far From Home.

At the moment there have been no other details on the film, including the plot, but it is known that filming will start in July. Director Jon Watts is returning, with most of the original cast as well.  Jake Gyllenhaal is rumoured to be joining the film as well to play the villain Mysterio.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is due to hit theatres on July 5, 2019.
