Game Of Thrones Season 6 Poster Is All About Jon Snow
Ever since the season 5 finale of Game of Thrones back in June, fans of the hit HBO series have been speculating on the fate of the character Jon Snow. The popular theory is that the character played by Kit Harington is still alive, and with the actor providing plenty of non-verbal clues that this may be the case fan speculation has been at an all time high. And now HBO has given perhaps the biggest hint of them all.
HBO confirmed yesterday that Game of Thrones would return for season 6 starting in April, and to make the announcement they created a billboard ad in Times Square featuring Jon Snow. The poster shows a bloodied Jon Snow looking down and distraught, but no mention is made as to whether he is alive or dead. It doesn’t make any sense to feature a character on their poster that isn’t returning to the series though, or does it? After all HBO knows that fans took to social media in June after Jon was stabbed and left for dead, and they know fans are dying to find out what comes next for their hero. So why not use that and build even more anticipation?
Harington himself stated back in June that he was been told that he’s dead, and even HBO president Michael Lombardo has told reporters that from everything he knows Jon Snow is dead. Yet Harington has been spotted in cities where the show is being filmed. We’ll just have to wait until April to find out whether that’s true or not.
