Sarah Michelle Gellar Pays Tribute To Robin Williams On Anniversary Of His Death
Sarah Michelle Gellar may have only gotten to work with Robin Williams for one season on The Crazy Ones before the series was cancelled, but he made a lasting impression on her. She even went as far to tell People last year that he was “the Father I had always dreamed of having.” Now one year after Williams’ tragic suicide, Gellar has taken a moment to pay tribute to her friend.
Gellar shared a photo on Instagram of the iconic Boston park bench from Good Will Hunting, a bench several of Williams fans visited last year after news broke about his death, and posted a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. This is to have succeeded. You succeeded RW.”
Williams was 63 when he committed suicide at his home in Tiburon, California, on August 11 last year.
