The Mindy Project Cancelled By Fox

The Mindy Project has publicly been cancelled by Fox after three seasons, and the show’s loyal fans are not taking the news well at all. The series is created by comedian Mindy Kaling and also stars the 35-year-old as leading lady Dr. Mindy Lahiri.  Making matters worse, the season three finale of Kaling’s sitcom concluded with a complete cliffhanger, as Danny Castellano (played by Chris Messina) hopped on a plane to India to ask Mindy’s parents for their daughter’s hand in marriage. Although the show will not be picked up for a fourth season at Fox, there is still hope as it has been reported that Hulu, which is owned by NBC Universal, may pick up the show for multi seasons. For now, many fans are taking their anger out on Twitter to vent about the ending of the show. Shortly after the news was announced, Kaling posted an Instagram video from Montana, playing around about the cancellation of her series, with a wink at the end. She captioned the video:

“Hey guys, I’m in Montana, is anything happening in LA?”, along with the hashtag #themindyproject.

Here’s a closer look at the short clip, which showcases the lush scenery of Montana- and of course, that signature quirky wink from Kaling.
