The 9th annual Canadian Film Festival takes place from March 25 – 28 at The Royal in Toronto, and the lineup is so filled that this year a fourth day was added. Murray Foster’s The Cocksure Lads Movie and Matt Sadowskit’s Pretend We’re Kissing are just two of the 8 feature films being shown. There are also 16 shorts that are part of the festivities.

“This year’s lineup is a testament to the wealth of diversity present in the Canadian film industry,” said Bern Euler, Executive Director, Canadian Film Fest in a press release. “We’re very proud to celebrate the talent that is present and emerging in our own backyard.”

The Canadian Film Fest was created to help showcase Canadian independent filmmaking. It’s a non-profit organization that helps Canadians see homegrown productions.

Joining the opening night feature film The Cocksure Lads Movie and the closing film Pretend We’re Kissing are Barn Wedding, Ben’s At Home, Late Night Double Feature, Nocturne, Relative Happiness and Shooting The Musical.
