With TIFF 2014 drawing to a close this weekend, we look back at the best moments of the festival:

The best after party: Bill Murray hitting the dance floor with Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and others during the St. Vincent after party certainly qualifies as something you really, really wanted to see. The party was held at Patria on King West, and other celebrity guests included Naomi Watts, Tom Hardy and Harvey Weinstein. And in case you were wondering the music they danced to, it included classics from Michael Jackson and Journey.

Best awwww moment: James Gandolfini may have passed away last year but his last movie The Drop came out at TIFF 2014, and his 14-year old son walked the red carpet in lieu of him. Gandolfini Jr. didn’t have much to say to reporters other than “I’m just really proud of him” but isn’t that really all that needs to be said?

Best beard: Will Farrell had one, so did Kevin Costner, but theirs weren’t the best. Andrew Garfield’s beard attracted a lot of attention, as it should have since he looked like he just walked off the set of Duck Dynasty. Garfield wouldn’t say if it was for a role or not.

Best celebrity sneak-in: No it’s not Bill Murray attending a screening of Ghostbusters during the Bill Murray Day screening, but instead it was Chris Evans sneaking into the Grey Goose Soho House pre-party for Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nightcrawler. People were so focused on Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo that few people noticed Chris Evans arrive at the last minute.

Most unrecognizable star: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace’s usually short, black hair was replaced by long blonde locks, making her unrecognizable to many red carpet followers. The bleached eyebrows certainly threw us off too. Of course, in her case, the look wasn’t a personal choice but rather a professional one as word is it’s for two other films she’s working on.
