Prince George’s Craziest First Birthday Presents
Prince George is arguably the world’s most famous infant. So, it only makes sense that the royal bundle of joy be gifted with priceless amounts of toys, stuffed animals — and crocodiles?
So what are some of the craziest gifts this toddler has seen? Well, let’s start with the obvious. Crocodiles. Yes, real, live crocodiles are gifted to the young prince by Australia’s Northern Territory. The royal grounds aren’t the best place to keep the reptile, aptly named George. So it’s a good thing that the gift included a personalized Facebook page dedicated to George’s new companion. He can check in anytime he wants.
What’s better than a bouquet of flowers? How about a whole field of flowers? Grandpa Prince Charles’ friend, Count Tibor Kalnoky, reportedly gifted the Prince with a protected field of rare flowers.
As if that weren’t enough to keep the young tot occupied, he was also bestowed an ornamental orb from Pope Francis, along with a 1679 manuscript.
Other wacky gifts included three adopted meerkats from Britain’s Dudley Zoo (all named after the Prince, of course), silver moulds of his hands and feet (from Aunt Pippa Middleton) and a ready-to-plant apple tree from British Politician Ed Milliband.
