Jared Leto’s 30 Seconds To Mars Release Star Studded Music Video
In this new 11 minute star studded 30 Seconds to Mars music video, Jared Leto pulls favours from all of his famous friends. Dubbed “The City of Angels,” a track off their 2013 album Love Lust Faith and Dreams, the video opens with rap artist Kayne West naming things he loves about his home Los Angeles, “Pools, 1950s architectural homes, glamour, muscle cars,” and then it moves into a laundry list of celebrities speaking out and sharing their thoughts and memories regarding Hollywood, and what it’s like being oh so famous. Among the impressive roster is Linday Lohan, Kayne West, Selena Gomez, James Franco, Olivia Wilde, Ashley Olsen, Lily Collins, and Jared Leto himself.
Throughout the music video montage we get to see a tearful Lindsay Lohan share, “I’ve disappointed myself the most in my life, to not be like ‘Wake the f–k up. Look what you have. This is what you wanted.'” The always beautiful Olivia Wilde said she thought it “was the most magical place I’d ever seen,” and pop princess Selena Gomez said “I’m a Disney kid. People try to tell me what to do every single day. I think they think I’m goody-goody, I’m boring, that I’m a fame whore, that I use people.”
In a statement regarding the video, band frontman Jared Leto said “I made this short film so I could share my thoughts on this incredibly special place and talk to others about theirs.” Then going on to say, “It’s not so much about this particular city, but more about the people who inhabit it. This is for the dreamers who know that sometimes the impossible is indeed possible.” If you have eleven minutes, we encourage you to watch this video and hear the honest answers from some of our favourite and most talked about celebrities, it definitely will not disappoint.
