Prince George & The Seven Godparents
Kate Middleton and Prince William have given us a christening seemingly straight out of a fairytale as they announced that baby Prince George will have seven godparents when he is christened at St. James Palace today.
Unlike other royal affairs, Kate Middleton and Prince William have decided to keep this a small affair with only 23 guests.

Having six godparents is tradition in royal families, but the future King of England has been graced with seven. They are: Oliver Baker (University friend), Emilia Jardine-Paterson (friend of Kate), Earl Grosvenor (Duke of Westminster’s son), Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton (former secretary of couple), Julia Samuel (friend of Princess Diana), William van Cutsem (William’s friend) and Zara Philips (William’s cousin).
You can’t help but recognize that there are some names missing from the list of godparents. Most notable is the siblings of both Prince William and Kate Middleton. Many expected either Prince Harry or Pippa Middleton to be named a godparent, but Zara Phillips is the only family member.
After the ceremony Prince Charles and Camilla will host a tea at their home.
