Jim Carrey Refuses To Support His Own Movie Kick-Ass 2
Usually actors promote their movies and tell people to go and see them, but Jim Carrey has come out and said that he does not support his upcoming film Kick-Ass 2. Jim Carrey has been reported saying that the movie is too violent.
Jim took to Twitter to say, “I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence.” and “My apologies to others involved with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart.”
TMZ reached out to the makers of Kick-Ass 2 to find out how they felt about one of the movie’s biggest stars pulling support of the flick. Writer Mark Millar told TMZ that he too is horrified by violence in real life, but that this is fiction.
We’ll wait until the premiere to find out if Jim Carrey sticks to his beliefs.
