What To Expect At The London 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremonies – Spice Girls And Rumoured Adele Performances!

David Beckham may have helped open the Olympics by carrying the torch on a speedboat down the Thames at the opening ceremonies, but his wife, Victoria Beckham, is set to close them with a bang. The songstress and fashion designer just tweeted the image above with the tagline: “So proud to be British x vb.” Victoria will take the stage at the closing ceremonies tonight along with her partners in crime, Ginger, Sporty, Baby and Scary Spice for a Spice Girls reunion of epic proportions.

London Olympics 2012 closing ceremonies director David Arnold has labelled the event “the greatest after-party in the world.” To get us even more excited, he told the Daily Telegraph, “If the opening ceremony was the wedding, then we’re the wedding reception.”

Although organizers have been trying to keep the event as hush-hush as possible, we already know that The Who, George Michael, Muse and Ed Sheenan will join the Spice Girls in a show that includes a medley of 30 British hits from the past 50 years. Other famous faces slated to take part in the closing ceremonies include The Pet Shop Boys, Annie Lennox and Fatboy Slim.

So what are we most excited for? Rumour has it that Adele will also make an appearance. We can’t imagine a tribute to British music that doesn’t include Adele, so we’ll be tuning in to find out!
