Fall TV Preview: Anticipated New Dramas
We showed you the upcoming sitcoms that will tickle your fancy this fall, so now we turn to the new dramas debuting on television. With a good mix of debuting shows to please everyone, finding a drama you love shouldn’t be difficult.
666 Park Avenue – On the success of last season’s American Horror Story, it should come as no surprise that a new spooky show is starting. This time it features a couple moving into an exclusive building that is not as perfect as it seems. Featuring Terry Quinn in his creepiest role since Lost’s John Locke, we hope this show lives up to our expectations.
Arrow – There are huge expectations for this superhero themed show on The CW. Based on the DC Comic Green Arrow, this show is sure to provide tons of action. We have been without a television hero for some time now, but 2012 is all about comic book heroes (The Dark Knight, Spiderman, The Avengers, etc.) so it is the perfect time for some TV action.
Beauty And The Beast – Early clips of this fairy tale update give us high hopes for this action meets romance edition of Beauty And The Beast. Fear not, this is not a remake of the cheesy 80’s show though. The CW has given it a full update with Beauty being a homicide detective.
Elementary – While we have our doubts about this Americanized Sherlock Holmes update starring Jonny Lee Miller as Holmes and Lucy Liu and Watson, the previews have peaked our interest. This is an edgy, fun version of the classic detective. We can’t wait to give it a try.
Revolution – From JJ Abrams (the man behind Lost) comes a drama about a time when all electronic devices turn off for good. It is set 15 after the time when it turned off and the dystopian society that evolves after with corrupt government, rural communities and lots of secrets.
