Celebrity News Round-Up: Michael Shannon, Brittany Murphy And Nicki Minaj
The new Superman movie directed by Zack Snyder has announced that Michael Shannon has signed on to play the man of steel’s enemy. Warner Brothers broke the news on Sunday by stating that Shannon will play General Zod opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman. Zod of course was the main protagonist in the 1980’s hit Superman 2. Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner are also attached to the project playing Lois Lane, Ma and Pa Kent respectively. (EW)
Brittany Murphy passed away in 2009 after suffering a cardiac arrest linked to pneumonia and anemia, but her death certificate was recently altered to that her biological father could visit her grave site. Angelo Bertolotti had been estranged from his daughter, and because of that her death certificate said her paternity was unknown. Angelo lodged an appeal and won his case. He can now visit the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles where his daughter was laid to rest. (WENN)
Britney Spears now has an opening act. TMZ is reporting that Nicki Minaj has signed on to the concert tour which is set to begin on June 17th. Minaj who is on tour with ‘Lil Wayne until the end of the month, signed on after Enrique Iglasias backed out. (TMZ)
