Celebrity News Round-Up: Spider-Man Villain Revealed, The Hobbit Starts Production, And Natalie Portman’s E-Mail Hacked
The new Spider-Man movie starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone isn’t set to be released until next year, but all ready buzz has been high about the flick. Fans of the webslinger have been speculating for weeks as to who the villain will be this time around, and actor C. Thomas Howell seems to have given it away. “I play a construction worker who’s son is caught in the middle of a battle between the Lizard and Spider-Man on the Manhattan bridge,” Howell said on The Retroradio. “Spider-Man helps me get my son back from this perilous situation.” (The Retroradio)
After years of delays, and many directing changes, Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit has started filming in New Zealand. The movie isn’t due to be released until Christmas of next year, but fans of the Lord of the Rings have been clamoring for word that the series was starting production. Peter Jackson has even launched a Facebook page to give fans new information and pictures. (EW)
And finally Oscar winner Natalie Portman is one of several celebrities who have found their personal e-mail addresses hacked. According to TMZ, the Black Swan star is one of over 100 actors, politicians and sports stars to have issues with the hacker. The list includes Dianna Agron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ali Larter, Scarlett Johansson, Miley Cyrus and Jessica Alba. The FBI apparently knows the identity of the hacker, but as of yet have not made any arrests. (TMZ)
