With summertime trends pointing toward bright and zany hair colours, it\u2019s no surprise that bohemian chic locks can be spotted everywhere in the weeks ahead. Whether you\u2019re hitting the music festival circuit or simply looking to stun at your next beach party, the latest hair look is both crafty and creative.<\/p>\n

Known as hair stencilling, this emerging trend involves the careful process of applying hair dye to the locks in a variety of shapes. The hair colour fad is gaining popularity among both brunettes and blondes, with funky polka dots, sweet floral prints and abstract prints making a splash.<\/p>\n

According to Cosmopolitan<\/em><\/a>, hair stencilling has been popularized by hairstylist and artist Janine Ker from California-based Salon Aguayo. In order to create the intricate hair trend, Ker actually begins the process by sketching her ideas out. Next, she transforms her vision into a hairstyle, by transferring the images onto the strands of hair.<\/p>\n

While hair stencilling is certainly an adventurous and playful look, it\u2019s probably best left for the after hours than a day at the office. Here\u2019s a closer peek at the latest trend to make a statement in the hairstyling universe.<\/p>\n
