With pedicure season quickly approaching, a breaking beauty trend has made an unexpected splash on social media. Known as foot contouring, Popsugar<\/em><\/a> reports that the newest Instagram innovation claims to use the contouring technique to achieve a look of slimmer feet.<\/p>\n

In a new Instagram video posted by makeup artistry company Live Glam, creative director Allyster LaFleur demonstrates how to contour one\u2019s toes. The clip features LaFleur applying dark tan makeup to her toes, in an effort to get a slimmer shape.<\/p>\n

Next, she highlights her feet and uses a beauty sponge to blend her foot makeup. LaFleur also contours the sides of her feet, in addition to emphasizing each of her toes.<\/p>\n

While we can certainly appreciate the aesthetic of beautifully polished and shapely feet, adding contouring makeup to your tender tootsies may be taking this trend too far.<\/p>\n

For beauty addicts who would rather focus on their faces, it may be a better idea to stick to contouring your cheekbones and nose.
