Although she may be best known for her on-screen roles on Downton Abbey<\/em> and in last year\u2019s film Cinderella<\/em>, Lily James has just been appointed the newest face of My Burberry fragrances.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old actress has made the jump from the screen to the beauty counter, with her latest initiative leaving a mark as her first-ever global ad campaign.<\/p>\n

According to Women\u2019s Wear Daily<\/em><\/a>, the British star will be featured in a new Burberry photo shoot and film, which have been shot by fashion photographer Mario Testino. The official campaign is set to be unveiled this August.<\/p>\n

James will be representing the London-based luxury brand\u2019s new fragrance My Burberry Black, which is set to make its global launch. In a statement to WWD<\/em>, the actress shared her excitement about her latest beauty adventure.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so proud to be British, so it really means a lot,\u201d said James. \u201cShooting my first campaign was so special \u2014 I don\u2019t want to give away too much but I had a lot of fun showing a different side of myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
