For makeup lovers who are also sci fi geeks, it looks like there may be breaking beauty news in the air. If you\u2019re aiming to venture out of your comfort zone and take your beauty cues from a faraway galaxy, MAC Cosmetics has officially announced a new Star Trek collection.<\/p>\n

According to Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, <\/em>the upcoming line will hit the shelves this summer, and will also coincide with the theatrical release of the Star Trek Beyond <\/em>movie.<\/p>\n

With the film hitting the silver screen on July 22, the makeup collaboration is set for an exclusive July 21 presale date. While the collection will make its grand entrance at the San Diego Comic-Con, it will be available online on August 25 and in stores on September 1.<\/p>\n

Staying true to the various intergalactic beauties of the Star Trek saga, the line will draw its inspiration from the likes of Zoe Saldana\u2019s character Uhura and other fierce females from the series.<\/p>\n

As for the products themselves, Star Trek-obsessed beauty addicts can expect to see a range of 25 pieces created for the eyes, lips, nails and face.
