The great thing about summer is that your skin most of the time is glowing, but when winter rolls around, the skin tends to look a bit dull and dry. Not to worry, you can still achieve a glowing completion and look like you’ve just got back from vacation using these makeup tips.

Dewy Skin

To help you achieve glowing skin, mix a moisturizer with your foundation. This is going to leave your skin dewy and natural-looking, and it will also keep your skin hydrated. Look for a moisturizer that is meant to help give your skin a healthy glow in order to help enhance the overall look, and also something that is oil-free in order to ensure your makeup blends nicely together.

Try using Philosophy Take a Deep Breath.

Illuminate

Highlighters work amazing to give you that glow from within look. Highlighters are lightweight, and they really brighten and enhance your skin. You can either choose between a liquid or powder highlighter. With liquid illuminators you can mix it with your foundation for a nice all over glow, or just like powders you can focus by high lighting the high points of the face: cheekbones, bridge of nose, cupid’s bow, and chin. Highlighters are also great for highlighting the brow bone and the inner corner of eyes.

Some great options are Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer and Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick.

Rosy Cheeks

For a radiant glow use cream blushes instead of powder ones. Cream blushes still provide great color and it will give you that natural-looking flush. The great thing is they are buildable, some tend to start off quite sheer, but you can build it up until you achieve your desired look.

Try Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips And Cheeks or Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee.

Mist

To help set your makeup and refresh your skin use a finishing/setting spray. It really makes a difference with how your makeup looks and it will also provide some moisture. Dry skin is apparent in the winter months which results to makeup looking a bit cakey. Just mist your face with some makeup setting spray and you are good to go. It will help to make your skin dewy, youthful, and help to give that glow you need.
