Winter is fast approaching which means taking extra care of your skin should be in full effect. As most of you may know the cold weather is not so great for the skin. It makes your skin uncomfortable, dry, and scaly. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Here are three ways to help you get rid of your seasonal peeling for good.
Exfoliating your face a few times a week will make a dramatic difference. You can use a washcloth or an exfoliating tool along with a product that should contain smooth beads and fruit enzymes such as pineapple or papaya. It is important to know that when you are exfoliating not to be too rough with your face as it is a sensitive area, you should be gently scrubbing your face using small circular motions.
Use Whole Milk
This technique has proven to work wonders. Soak a washcloth in cold whole milk and put the washcloth over your face. Leave it for 10 minutes. The fat in the milk will re-hydrate and moisturize your face while the coolness and lactic acid acts as a mild cleanser and will tone down any redness.
It’s super important to moisturize your skin everyday, at least twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night before you go to bed. Using a moisturizer on a daily basis will help get rid of dryness and erase any flakes. Look for creams that contain hyaluronic acid because that will help to hydrate the skin. It will lock in moisture and absorb 1000 times its weight in water!
