NYFW Spring 2015 Trend Report: Top Nail Designs We Can’t Wait To Wear
New York Fashion Week may be all about the clothes, but backstage, it’s the nails that have us gawking. Here’s how to get some of our favourite nail looks from NYFW Spring 2015.
CND for Opening Ceremony
These marbleized nails featured at Opening Ceremony for NYFW Spring 2015 definitely caught our eye. While black was our favourite, light blue and pink base coats were also used. The team at CND applied layers of high-shine colour in saturated tones on each nail, then hand painted the veins of each nail for the marbling effect.
OPI for Dion Lee
Lead nail artist Miss Pop played with negative space at Dion Lee and focused on one side of each nail with a thick metallic stripe. Using My Signature is DC from OPI, a polish created in partnership with Coca-Cola, she painted a vertical stripe down just one side of each nail. Finish with a matte top coat and you’re good to go.
OPI for Charlotte Ronson
Miss Pop went for non-symmetrical nail polish design at Charlotte Ronson, creating a very different look for Spring 2015. Each model sported painted nails with a natural half moon, alternating with natural nails with a painted half moon. We love the pastel mint shade too!
Essie for Rebecca Minkoff
Essie for Sophiet Theallet
