10 Worst Fast Foods You Can Eat

Young Woman Eating a Delicious Burger

Eating healthy and going to the gym takes a lot of time and effort. Although we’d love to be on a whole foods, paleo, raw, gluten-free diet 24/7, some times it just doesn’t happen. For those times that you’re just too hungry or tired to make a meal, fast food is the answer. But you might as well eat the healthiest fast food you can if you have to and some options are worse than you might think. Here are the 10 worst fast foods you can eat.

1. Subway’s Footlong Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki

Although touted as a healthy alternative to burgers and fries, this mega sandwich packs a wallop. Depending on your toppings, this one meal can cost you over 800 calories, 9 grams of fat and well over the recommended daily sodium intake of 2,000 mg.

2. McDonald’s Filet O’Fish

But it’s fish, so it has to be somewhat healthy, right? Unfortunately, it’s not. The Filet-o-Fish contains 18 grams of saturated fat and 380 calories. And we all know you’ll be hungry in about an hour or less.

3. Quizno’s Tuna Melt

Another sub, another fish sandwich — and more unhealthy news. This is basically a mayo sandwich with a smattering of tuna which adds up to 27 grams of fat and over 1,400 calories – about the same an average woman needs in a whole day!

4. Burger King Triple Whopper with cheese value meal

While it’s not a surprise that a triple burger would be on this list, it’s still a shock to learn that one meal can contain 2,110 calories, 104 g fat (35.5 g saturated, 2 g trans), and 2,270 mg sodium. That’s two days worth of calories.

5. Five Guys Large French Fries

Everybody loves fries and surely fried potatoes can’t be that unhealthy – oh, but they are. Coming in at almost 1,500 calories and an unbelievable 71 g of fat, these are not the side you were looking for.

6. Starbucks Hazelnut Signature Hot Chocolate

Coffee is the business person’s lifeblood, but this version is full of sugar at 42 g or 10.5 teaspoons which is way too much for a morning jolt of energy.

7. KFC Chicken Bowl

Surprisingly, at only 700 calories, this is not one of the worst choices, but with over 2000 mg of salt and 26 g of fat, you can cross this one off your “maybe it’s OK” list.

8. Taco Bell Chicken Ranch Fully Loaded Taco Salad

A salad finally makes an appearance and, of course, it’s not actually healthy in any way. Not only does this salad come in at 960 calories, but it’s also the most calorific item on the whole menu. Fully loaded indeed.

9. Pizza Hut Pepperoni Lover’s Pizza

It’s pizza time! Just a single slice of a large pepperoni pizza with stuffed crust is 440 calories, 21 g fat and 1350 mg sodium. And no one can ever just eat one slice.

10. Tim Hortons BLT and donut

Yet another sandwich that you’d think would be healthier than a burger, but with a total calorie count of  almost 1,000 and 41 g of fat, it turns out to be not so healthy after all.
