Murdoch Mysteries’ Helene Joy Reveals Her Beauty Secrets
Helene Joy from Perth, Australia has become one of Canada’s most notable television stars, winning a Gemini award in 2008 for her role in the television series Durham County and a Leo award for the feature film Desolation Sound. Now Joy is part of CBC’s Murdoch Mysteries with a cult following and its ever-changing adventures. The show’s most recent dangers have transcended the usual human-on-human murders to lake monsters and zombies. In the middle of an exciting season 7, Helene Joy shared with Real Style her beauty secrets.
Skin TX: I go to a really amazing facialist at Lege Artis. I use all of her skincare products and I swear by it. It’s called Skin TX. She has transformed my skin. Because of her, I don’t leave the house – doesn’t matter whether it’s 5 in the morning, doesn’t matter whether it’s the dead of winter – without sunscreen. So I’m completely addicted to that. Plus, coming from Australia, my skin was really sun damaged, so that completely reversed that.
Make Up For Ever: I’m a huge fan.
100% Pure: There’s a favourite skincare line that I use for my body and everything called 100% Pure. It’s a beautiful range. And there’s absolutely nothing bad in that.
Exercise: Other than that, I do Crossfit, and yoga, and running. I think that those things are probably more important to beauty than anything else.
