Real Style Tries Redken’s New Diamond Oil

It’s no secret that in the humidity we must take extra care of our locks to ensure that they don’t become unruly. Especially if you face damaged and dull hair, it can be that much harder to keep under control. Enter Redken’s new Diamond Oil, a complete collection of oil-enriched haircare products that is meant to polish and strengthen hair. We decided to test it out on one of the most humid days of the season to see if it could deliver salon-ready results.

The collection of silicone-free products includes a shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and two oils for more shine, strength, conditioning, and less hair breakage. We started with the shampoo and conditioner followed by the deep facets mask. We applied the mask, let it sit for about five minutes, and then rinsed it out. We then added about two drops of the diamond oil to our hair focusing on the lower section, and then let our hair dry naturally.

The verdict? We instantly saw results with soft and silky locks. While we loved the entire conditioning system, if you don’t have time to do it all simply use the oil itself on damp or towel dried hair. Not only did our hair instantly feel soft, but when it dried we were left with hair that was smoother and shinier than before. Plus, the blend of coriander, camelina, and apricot oils made for a heavenly scent that we just couldn’t get enough of. On those days when you’re out all day, keep the Diamond Oil in your purse for a quick touch-up on frizz-control. We definitely recommend it if you are looking to boost shine and condition dry and damaged hair.
