Real Style Tries Kérastase Cristalliste

Recently, Real Style decided it was time for some hair therapy, with the summer heat and rain beginning to take a toll on our flowing locks. We gave the Cristalliste line by Kérastase a try, with all of the products especially created and formulated to bring damaged long hair back into shape. Although it is often difficult to find a line which works for longer locks, Cristalliste promises salon-quality results and plenty of shine (along with lovely pink packaging, always a plus).

What did we think? The Luminous Perfecting Masque was easy to apply, with a great shampoo-like fragrance and decent consistency. We appreciated the fact that it was simple and stress-free to wash off when it was time to rinse, and left both our roots and ends feeling lightweight (instead of greasy or extra dry). After all, there is nothing less satisfying than sticky or heavy results when it comes to an at-home hair mask.

The Perfecting Masque saved us a trip to the salon, and set the tone for moisturized hair after it was rinsed away. Created with Kérastase’s signature Liquid Light Complex technology, the water-based mask contains an aloe vera illuminator (which is meant to add natural shine).

Next, we applied the Cristal Sculpt Double Sérum Sculptant. The Sculptant is meant for use as a finishing serum before blow-drying or heat styling your damp and towel-dried hair. Also made with Liquid Light in mind, it thankfully managed to deliver the luminous glow which it promised on the package! Even after using a flat iron, our hair remained shiny, smooth, and frizz-free for the rest of the day.

Although both products worked wonders for our thick, straight locks, Cristalliste can be used on wavy tresses or curls as well. We were pleasantly surprised by the results- it looks like Kérastase has found the answer to summertime long hair worries after all!
