Edgy, Warrior-Inspired Hairstyles From Greta Constantine Fashion Show

A mix of shine and soft matte textures dominated the three (yes, three) different hair looks at the F/W 2013 Greta Constantine show. The overall inspiration was one of a goddess warrior feel, “definitely more raw rather than the simplicity of a high ponytail,” says Daniel DiTomasso, Sebastian core stylist. Daring enough to try these edgy looks? Here’s how to pull each of them together:

Look #1: The Warrior

Using Sebastian Shine Crafter Wax for its high shine (“It’s mouldable so I could brush through the pomade,” explains DiTomasso) and the Shine Define Spray to layer shine on top of the hair, comb hair really tight. Then make individual sections from the hair and from the ends, knot and keep knotting until the hair has condense in length. Leave out the ends. “This is so there’s a raw, warrior feel,” he says. Finish with the Shaper hairspray for a dryer look to the ends. “It’s already an aggressive look, so the contrast of soft and hard helps highlight the texture underneath.”
