Beauty Review: Lise Watier Spring 2012 Makeup
Lise Watier’s Spring makeup collection, Aquarella, was inspired by the soft shades of spring flowers. With these delicate purple, pink and peachy hues they are hoping to bring the beauty of the garden to your look. We tested out the collection to see if we felt Spring’s beauty come early.
THE HYPE: Spring is the time when we all want to slip out of those drab darks and into something more feminine like these pretty pastel shades.
THE TEST: Give the Lise Watier collection a try now in hopes of an early Spring.
THE VERDICT: While the entire collection isn’t a home run for us, Lise Watier is bringing out our feminine side this year. While we loved the lilac shade of the Lip Gloss Aquarella in the bottle, we were disappointed by it’s lack of colour. It does give the gloss and shine promised, but we prefer our gloss with a hint of colour. Another disappointment came from the eyeliner. The Violet shade again didn’t live up to the dramatic hue you expect from the packaging. We were expecting more from the these pretty shades. There were also some highs. The Eyeshadow Quartet with shades of pink, purple, blue and soft gold was stunning. These shadows are easy to use and almost any combination will give you a great finish. We adore the addition of the gold for a soft spring shimmer. We also fell in love with the new Macaron shade of their Rouge Gourmand Lipstick. This pinky hue is perfect for Spring and added the exact finishing touch we needed to feel completely feminine. If you want to please your inner girly girl this Spring, look into Lise Watier’s limited edition collection for a light touch.
