Victoria’s Secret Angels Talk Diet & Beauty

Last night, Victoria’s Secret held their annual runway show and both the show and the models themselves made news.

Long-time angel Adriana Lima has come under fire for comments made regarding her strict pre-runway show diet. The Brazilian supermodel recently admitted that she adheres to a liquids-only diet nine days before the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and stops drinking water for 12 hours before she hits the runway to drop the most weight. But she defended the drastic measures to E!, comparing herself to an athlete in training: “I know it’s very intense but…I just have an athlete’s mind and I appreciate doing this thing. It’s not that I do crazy diets throughout the year. I just do it for this particular thing. After this show, I become normal again!”

Fellow Victoria’s Secret Angel Erin Heatherton shared beauty tips with Marie Claire Australia. “I use Rodin Luxury Face Oil at night, and it keeps my skin hydrated and refreshed for the day – not tired from all the makeup. And I basically make sure that I’m well rested – that’s the most important thing!”

Supermodel Miranda Kerr, also confessed to Marie Claire Australia saying, “I’ve been doing yoga every day for the past six months. But I’ve been doing more squats because you gotta get that booty up – you really can’t hide anything when you’re up there on that runway – you’ve got cameras coming at you from every angle.”

Victoria’s Secret Angels are expected to not only be thin, but also fit. Alessandra Ambrosio had to wear a 30-pound pair of Passion Play Fan Wings during the runway show and confessed to The Daily Mail that she had to lift more weights during her preparation for the show in order to be able to pull off the runway walk.
