Our Favourite Winter Hand Creams
During the cold, dry winter, many of you seek out a high-quality hand cream. Dry, chapped hands are not only unattractive to look at, but can also be painful and uncomfortable. See below for some of our favourite winter hand creams.
L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream ($26) – This luxurious hand cream contains 20% shea butter and restores the look and feel of cracked, dry skin. L’Occitane hand creams have a big cult following for good reason.
Bliss Two Turtle Gloves Spa-Strength Super-Smoothing Hand Duo ($48) – Bliss makes some of our favourite hand creams and the turtle gloves treatment is great for those of you that need an intensive, moisturizing hand treatment. The turtle gloves kit includes a pair of gel-lined moisturizing gloves and a travel-size hand cream.
Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve ($18) – A big celebrity favourite, Kiehl’s skin care is known for its rich, hydrating properties. The Ultimate Strength Hand Salve is formulated for the driest, most active hands (ideal for those hands that are regularly exposed to harsh elements). It’s a heavy-duty moisture treatment with a formula that contains a blend of botanical oils as well as natural wax derived from Olive Oil.
Curél Hand & Cuticle Therapy Cream ($6) – This affordable, nourishing hand cream soothes even the driest hands on contact and continues to moisturize even through repeated hand washings. Great for mild-moderate dry hands. Formulated with soy milk, monoi oil and vitamin E, it’s a great drugstore buy.
Eucerin Repair Hand Creme 5% ($5.50) – This drugstore brand effectively relieves rough, chapped, cracked hands. Eucerin creme offers a light, non-greasy formula perfect for those that prefer an easy to apply, gentle hand cream.
