Tracy Reese’s Retro Makeup And Hair
There were so many great look on the New York Fashion Week runways, that we couldn’t resist bringing you another from Tracy Reese as our look of the week. Tracy added a touch of retro makeup and hair in her Spring 2012 show. The designer was inspired by the retro 40’s style for these models.
The key items to get this look are a eye liner in a dark shade. The liner was applied on the top and inner eye for the appearance of thicker lashes. A brow booster was used for natural looking eye brows. A medium blush adds the glow on the apples of the cheeks. A lip magnifier was applied on the top lip and a gloss on the bottom gives the lips new dimension.
For the hair apply a mousse to damp hair, flip head upside down and blow dry running your fingers through your hair. Once dry, mist your hair with a curl spray and roll in a flat iron on high heat and clip to keep curls intact. Once they are cool, spray with a dry shampoo and lightly brush with a flat brush to add texture.
Style you hair by pulling it over your head ear to ear. You can either pin a curl in the front or leave it loose over your eye like the models shown. Finally pull the remainder of your hair to one side.
