LATE NIGHT FEELINGS
FILM
From adult films to family flicks and everything in between, the summer blockbuster season is always a mixed bag, and this year is no different; there’s a little bit for everyone. Here are our favourites.
 SPIDER-MAN : FAR
FROM HOME
Just because Avengers: Endgame made a boatload of money, doesn’t mean Marvel is done making Superhero films yet. In this latest one starring their famous web slinger, Far From Home takes Peter Parker out of Manhattan to Europe, to help solve the mystery of the elemental creatures attacking the country.
THE LION KING
Disney’s The Lion King was the top grossing film of 1994, and this live-action remake looks
to be shot for
shot the same
film, just more realistic. Fans will surely flock to the theatre to see this one, and it could wind up being one of the biggest hits any studio has had in July in a long time.
ONCE UPON A TIME
IN HOLLYWOOD
When writer/director Quentin Tarantino releases a new film, it becomes an event. His latest film takes place in the late 1960s, and follows the story of a washed-up TV actor and his stunt double, who try to reclaim the spotlight they once had by becoming movie stars. To make things
even more interesting, Tarantino decided to add in a subplot about Charles Manson and his future murder victim Sharon Tate.
It’s been over a year since Swedish superstar DJ and producer Avicii suddenly passed away, and now his final album is set to be released. The follow-up album to 2015’s Stories was possible because it was close to being completed before Avicii’s death. Along with the music, notes, email conversations and text messages about
the music were found, and with the help of his collaborators the album was completed. The net proceeds from the album will go to the non-profit Tim Bergling Foundation, which helps to prevent mental illness and suicide.
MARK RONSON - LATE NIGHT
FEELINGS
Ronson’s fifth studio album has already released two hits, “Nothing Break Like a Heart” with Miley Cyrus and “Late Night Feelings” with Lykke Li. The successful pop music producer spends a lot of his time producing hits for others, but he still does find time to release his own material. In an interview with Las Vegas Weekly he called the album “The best thing I’ve ever made.”
THE RACONTEURS - HELP US
STRANGER
It’s taken 11 years, but the Raconteurs are finally releasing their third studio album. The Jack White and Brendan Benson fronted band won a Grammy for their 2009 album, Consolers of the Lonely, and then went dormant while the members focused on their own things. Then suddenly last year, the ball got rolling on a new album, which will also lead into a summer tour.
