ONE TO WATCH:
TEZZA BARTON
WALK. PRANCE. DANCE. REPEAT. That’s how the just-launched collab from ALDO Shoes and photographer, musician, and influencer, Tezza Barton, has us moving.
The ALDO x Tezza Collection showcases four different western booties, each bedazzled with their own flare—such as rhinestone fringe, celestial hardware, multi-coloured python, and laser-cut stars. There’s a pair for every stylista! On the Sophie Rose Boots ($160; pictured, and our fave!) Tezza says, “The Sophie Rose is such a special boot for me. My sister, Sophie, and I played music as a duo for years before she unexpectedly passed away,
and before every show she would pull out her favourite pair of vintage cowboy boots. The Sophie Rose boot represents my sister’s love of music and performing and I hope it inspires people to chase their dreams like she did.” Reach for
the stars...and for a pair of these
booties. Available at select ALDO
stores across Canada and aldoshoes.com.

IFWTO X EDITO
Indigenous Fashion Week Toronto (IFWTO; ifwtoronto. com) takes to the runway May 28 to 31, with 23 Canadian and International Indigenous artists and designers participating in four presentations. But before that, Simons is launching a collection IFWTO x Edito for the aisleway...of the retail floor that is. Eight Indigenous artists—Caroline Monnet, Evan Ducharme, Injunuity, Jordan Bennett, Niio Perkins, Tania Larsson, Tracy Toulouse, and Warren Steven Scott—were invited to showcase their talents by embellishing linen garments from the Simons’ Edito collection. The artists all decked out a top, a pant, and two dresses using their craft, including printed graphics, embroidery, appliqué, and beadwork. Available May 1 at Simons and Simons.ca.
