While Frankel and her sister followed lifestyle brands, their interest was few and far between when it came to must-wear makeup brands.
According to Frankel, her mother’s generation thought that “more is better” when it came to makeup, while she and her sister took a “less is more” approach. “if it’s going to take an hour to do our makeup in the morning, we’re not going to bother,” says Fran- kel. thus, the golden question be- came “what products can we use to look like a better version of ourselves?” gravitating towards fast, effortless and on-the-go rou- tines, the Frankel family took the missing piece and turned it into a “Crayola meets Chanel” fuss-free cosmetics line.
launching nudestix as a teenager, Frankel refers to her age as being the largest battle to overcome.“When [we are] in our teens, we often think “why does my voice matter, how do i use my voice? Where do i use my voice and who is going to listen?” says Frankel. however, she credits her mother with instilling in her one essential ingredient: confidence. As a young entrepreneur, she in- sists that the key to innovation is to put the car in drive.
While she was met with some initial resistance, in a shifting landscape focused on achieving the no makeup look, Frankel’s

When we speak to Frankel on the phone, the jetsetter has just returned from Asia and is prepar- ing for her next big beauty takeo- ver in the u.K. She takes a mo- ment to recall where nudestix all began. She points to her chemical engineer mom, Jenny, as the kick- starter of the company.
