Although the international Fashion Weeks have wrapped up for this season, the runways are heating
up at home. VFW hits Vancouver from March
19th to 25th, and is set to feature emerging names such as Jason Siu and Yifat Jovani. Along with these up-and-coming talents, rebellious Canadian designer Evan Clayton (who just celebrated 10 years
in the fashion industry) is slated to make a return with another collection. The event is also expected to highlight international rising
stars, such as Chinese-born and New York City-based designer Qiongxin Kou. Kou is a recent Parsons School of Design grad whose
work is inspired by her Asian culture, with elements such as bamboo. Whether you are drawn to local fashion or exotic in uences, Vancouver Fashion Week is sure to deliver an inspired look at Fall.

staples for several months, and we can already feel the urge to nd a new signature shoe. As the expression goes “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb,” and a boot
that can leave you surefooted during the change in seasons is in order. Enter the pastel an- kle boot, which combines the colour palette of spring with
a sturdy heel for transitional weather. We love these Stuart Weitzman Trendy Ankle Boots in Candy, $402, which make
a statement with their pale pink colour, while the velvet surface and almond-shaped toe nish the design. Whether you’re rocking dark trousers or patterned tights, a pair of these pretty and practical boo- ties will wrap up your look in style.
