London Fashion Week has come to a close for another season. Here are some of our favourite looks from Britain’s hottest designers.
Fashion eyes turned to London this weekend as London Fashion Week continued the Spring/Summer 2014 runway shows featured some of Britain’s finest talent. Big named designers L’Wren Scott and Vivienne Westwood showed alongside budding hot names Mary Katranzou and JW Anderson for a winning fashion weekend. Here is a look at some of the shows.
With London Fashion Week making its stylish grand entrance today, we’re eagerly awaiting the latest runway styles for spring and summer 2014 (it’s never too early to start thinking about next season, after all). Christopher Bailey’s Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2013 was hands-down the hottest ticket at London Fashion Week so far. Although Bailey made sure to include some classic Burberry designs in a more neutral colour range, everyone was talking about the metallic show-stopping pieces. Inspired by 1940s British glamour, Bailey gave Burberry’s signature trench coat a shiny and colourful makeover. The designer also cropped the trench into capelets, capes and corsets and paired them with gorgeous pencil skirts and peplum bustier tops. The front row drew some of the biggest stars and fashionistas we’ve seen at London Fashion Week so far: Alice Eve, Dita Von Teese, Mario Testino, Anna Wintour, Harvey Weinstein, Olivia Palermo and Gabriella Wilde. You have to watch this video of the show to see the colour explosion at the end. We won’t tell your boss!

With London Fashion Week officially closing today, the attendance of the smaller fashion event is being threatened by large shows encroaching on their space.
