Designer Jeremy Laing is teaming up with Canadian record label Arts & Crafts to create a special collection celebrating our true north culture. The Jeremy Laing collection brings together some of Canada’s top artists with Art & Crafts musicians for an interesting collaboration.
Five visual artists, Derek Sullivan, Jessica Eaton, Sojourner Truth Parsons, Niall McClelland and Jason McLean each chose an Arts & Crafts musician to inspire them. They created designs that bring in the inspiration from the music of Broken Social Scene, Feist and more. Jeremy Laing will then be using the artwork in shirts he has designed.
The resulting collection will be unisex pieces available at The Bay stores across Canada starting on May 6. Each of the pieces will sell for $75 and all proceeds raised will go to MusiCounts foundation which provides children with access to music programs in schools. The pieces will also be available online at TheBay.com and on the Arts & Crafts website.
