Ready For Takeoff
Can’t get on that plane for your spring break fast enough? Now is the time when we are sick of the cold weather and need an escape to somewhere tropical. Airport and airplane style can be tricky — for the former, you want to look chic and cute in case you spot any worldly dateables, but the latter calls for pure comfy. This 3.1 Phillip Lim spring 2013 look inspired us to take our travel style up a notch without worrying about being cold upon departure or overdressed upon arrival.
The level of comfy at which we prefer to take flight is somewhere between pajamas and a snuggie, so we’re always forced to scale back on that comfort factor by about 90%. This runway-inspired travel-ready look has us looking forward to flying almost as much as laying by the pool. Simply put, loose and comfortable is okay if it has some shape, a fun print or two, and is put together with effortless charm.
How To Get It
A pair of floral trousers in a soft cotton will better serve you for the plan ride than skinnies, and have your sweats beat as far as fashion goes. Stay feminine in a pretty pair like our H&M pick. A distressed graphic tee makes a statement in a cool, not-trying-hard way, and this Mango tee looks good enough to nap in the window seat. Take from the girly runway look (this is a youthful departure for Phillip Lim and we’re loving it) and opt for a hot pink moto jacket like this must-have Le Sentier one. Finally, get your retro shades ready for landing, and slip on comfortable peep-toe flats. Arrividerci!
