It’s about time fashion icon David Bowie got his very on exhibit, and where better than the V&A for the homage to the British rocker to take place? The king of all things androgynous, the original Ziggy Stardust is getting a huge retrospective at in partnership with Gucci. Curated by the V&A’s Theatre and Performance curators, Victoria Broackes and Geoffrey Marsh, the exhibit features more than 300 objects from Bowie’s life that include handwritten lyrics, original costumes, fashion, photography, film, music videos, set designs, Bowie’s own instruments and album artwork.
Last night, lucky guests, including actresses Tilda Swinton, Kaya Scodelario and Laura Carmichael, and model Edie Campbell (who wore Gucci) got to attend a private viewing of “David Bowie is” at the V&A, but it will be open to the public as of Saturday.
