LOS ANGELES: High profile boutique Scoop NYC has opened its first California location in Brentwood. The new store is the 17th location for the company, and follows its competitor Intermix who opened a store just across the street at the Brentwood Country Mart. Read more at Apparelnews.net.
MONTREAL: The annual Fondation de la Mode de Montréal benefit gala was Monday evening in Montreal, and included a dramatic student-designed runway show. 138 graduates of the fashion design class at LaSalle College created a show comprising 350 outfits in 20 tableaux, according to the Montreal Gazette. The Foundation honoured Raymonde Tranchemontagne, design director at Canadelle, and awarded $101,000 in scholarships to 14 fashion students. Read more at montrealgazette.com.
